Eunice Elikplim Doe - Breaking Barriers in Data; A Story of Growth and Resilience

You do not need to know everything to start just begin, and you will figure things out along the way.

About Her

Eunice is a Junior Data Analyst with a background in mathematics, data science, and AI. Her journey into data was not exactly straightforward, she started out with a love for numbers, but had to figure out how to apply them in real-world problem-solving. She currently works at CEQA Foods and Beverages, where she helps make sense of data to improve decision-making and efficiency.

“Every day is a chance to learn, and that is what I love most about this field”.

Eunice loves cooking, reading, and learning new things, especially about AI and tech. When she is not working with data, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, exploring different cuisines, and engaging in self-development books.

Challenges She Encountered

One of her biggest challenges in her data journey was imposter syndrome, feeling like she was not good enough, especially when learning new tools and technologies. Coming from a mathematics background, she thought transitioning into data analytics would be smooth, but real-world problem-solving was different from theory.

What helped her was taking it one step at a time instead of trying to learn everything at once, she focused on building small projects, practicing consistently, and asking for help when she needed it. Joining online communities and networking with others in the field also gave me the confidence to keep pushing forward.

Inspiration

Success in any field often comes with challenges, especially when transitioning into new roles or industries. Many professionals experience self-doubt when faced with unfamiliar tools and concepts, but growth happens through persistence, continuous learning, and practical application. Breaking complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps, seeking guidance from peers, and engaging with supportive communities can help build confidence. Embracing curiosity and adaptability makes the journey more fulfilling, turning obstacles into valuable learning experiences.
